Which Apple innovation changed your life the most?
# ResponseĀ Date Why?
Oct 25, 2011 4:15 PM I use the my MacBook everyday for a myriad of reasons. In my experience PCs are far more difficult to use.
Oct 25, 2011 1:54 PM as someone who is computer illiterate it made it easy to use computer and internet.
Oct 24, 2011 11:25 AM Honestly, none of these products have changed my life -- though I am amazed by the technology and sleek design....
Oct 24, 2011 11:00 AM The Mac because it was first.
Oct 19, 2011 5:30 PM I love music and it is a wonderful source for this and so much more.
Oct 18, 2011 12:34 PM The only electronic device (other than basic cell phone) that I carry when traveling
Oct 17, 2011 1:42 PM My first computer in 1986. I never strayed from the Apple brand since.
Oct 17, 2011 11:35 AM While this was a close tie (I almost voted Macintosh-- it made computing so much more user-friendly), the iPod is a true revolution - it has become a ubiquitious part of our lives.
Oct 17, 2011 11:31 AM It's been around the longest and is the most used innovation in my life and in my work.
Oct 17, 2011 10:03 AM I'm not against them...I've just never used any of these products.
Oct 17, 2011 9:34 AM I use a Macintosh everyday.
Oct 17, 2011 9:12 AM Only one I own
Oct 17, 2011 8:54 AM I have worked on Macs since day one and it even afforded me the freedom to open my own design firm. Was able to do work internationally, on my own, who would have ever dreamt it would be possible.
Oct 17, 2011 8:53 AM because it's my e veryday tool at work and has been since they were invented_which is before the iPhone
Oct 17, 2011 4:56 AM It gave me access to the internet in 1995!
Oct 16, 2011 11:29 PM small dinky phone that allows you to call/ surf the net/ play music and video call and it's so light. such a game changer.
Oct 16, 2011 5:36 PM I never excercise or travel without it!!
Oct 14, 2011 7:08 PM Genius, in every way!
Oct 14, 2011 4:32 PM Probably because that got it all started for me. My first work computer was a 2e. Then I got a Mac 512k (with a smokin' 20meg Apple Crate hard drive). Moved on up through the products and have been thrilled the whole time. Well, the LC kind of sucked but I've probably sold a couple hundred macs based on my enthusiasm for them. I have a MacBook Pro now and am yearning to return to my MacAir.
Oct 14, 2011 3:56 PM The MacBook Air is my fave Apple product, because it's lightweight. I'm a writer and editor and having what is essentially a word processor that light to cart around is the best thing ever, ever.
Oct 14, 2011 2:59 PM The Original, and best. Technically not Apple, but wish Pixar had been on the list ....
Oct 14, 2011 2:28 PM Don't leave home without it
Oct 14, 2011 1:11 PM It introduced the concept of "User friendly" and made a product for the masses
Oct 14, 2011 12:46 PM It's how I met my husband and learned about all of the cool things computers can do for me.
Oct 14, 2011 11:35 AM While I would have a far less rewarding experience on my computer if I had to use a windows based OS, I would probably learn to live with it. And I could probably learn to live without my iPhone. But it would be hard. My interactions with people and accessibility to the world has changed so drastically since I got my iPhone. I can't imagine life without it.
Oct 14, 2011 11:32 AM I use it non stop throughout the day, every day. Sometimes even in my dreams. It has become an essential part of my life.
Oct 14, 2011 11:08 AM Other than being forced into iTunes, it's the only Apple product I have.
Oct 14, 2011 10:55 AM It;s hard to pick a single thing, when the influence of Apple as a whole is pervasive and more a shaper of daily life. I can't imagine doing my job without Apple products.
Oct 14, 2011 10:44 AM My first introduction.
Oct 14, 2011 10:40 AM raised on microsoft

Oct 14, 2011 10:26 AM This easy portable device allowed me to stay on top of charity events, inter mural sporting teams, connect with friends, and entertain myself all at the same time. I take this one phone with me, and I have everything I need to get where I am going.
Oct 14, 2011 10:09 AM I use it all day everyday, but I still use my pencil
Oct 14, 2011 10:08 AM iPhone has it all! I could live without the others, I couldn't live without my phone!
Oct 14, 2011 9:50 AM The Macintosh computer and systems changed how, when and where I view the world. Its not a filter but a window to be opened.
Oct 14, 2011 9:34 AM It's sexy!
Oct 14, 2011 9:27 AM I actually have one.
Oct 14, 2011 9:10 AM It's the only Apple product I use
Oct 14, 2011 9:08 AM The mac is where it all started with me and supporting it and it's users has put food on the table for my family. Also having macs around the house where my children have grown up has expanded their minds in more ways than I can list.
Oct 14, 2011 9:07 AM I use it the most
Oct 14, 2011 8:31 AM All in one device, right size for viewing and portable enough.

Oct 14, 2011 4:57 AM Steve Jobs may be a brilliant developer and visionary, but personally I am not a fan of his style. And I have never been able to like Apple's keyboards, which is the first part of user-friendliness
Oct 14, 2011 2:38 AM Love apple products just never had one.
Oct 14, 2011 12:30 AM I first started working on one when a client gave me an iMac. Once you go Mac you never go Back.
Oct 14, 2011 12:03 AM ipod shuffle is still the coolest design ever in my book
Oct 13, 2011 11:06 PM Although I don't own one (yet) - it's innovation is mind boggling.
Oct 13, 2011 10:18 PM the first big innovation from apple that i totally bought into. and i used to think my walkman was cool...
Oct 13, 2011 10:13 PM Mobility
Oct 13, 2011 10:12 PM Mobility
Oct 13, 2011 10:11 PM That's what started it all for me.
Oct 13, 2011 10:10 PM they are literally the IT support for our small business of 5 people. Better service and performance than I had in a previous business where we hired contract support.
Oct 13, 2011 10:05 PM It's the one I use the most.
Oct 13, 2011 9:48 PM Explained above
Oct 13, 2011 9:16 PM What happened to MacBook on this list? The beauty of it, not to mention practicallity . . . every time I take it out in public I gush.
Oct 13, 2011 9:01 PM My very first computer, when no one had a computer - so cool!
Oct 13, 2011 8:54 PM Over priced.
Oct 13, 2011 8:33 PM Everythig started from Mac.
Oct 13, 2011 7:47 PM From my very first Macintosh onward the experience was intuitive and beneficial. I would also give enormous credit to the ever evolving OS.
Oct 13, 2011 7:31 PM Hard to choose, as I love them all!
Oct 13, 2011 7:15 PM Because they are more proprietary than Microsoft, they only care about making money, their products are overpriced for what hey deliver and are extremely limited (no Flash!?! - half the web is in Flash!), and they have a horrendous environmental record - not to mention all the dead Chinese workers the company has left in its wake...
Oct 13, 2011 6:58 PM Nothing made my list but the marketing and ability to make a product that would sell inspite of quality ... that will always make my list.
Oct 13, 2011 6:40 PM 8 moving boxes of my CD's now fit into my pocket, with unlimited organizational options. Best innovation ever.
Oct 13, 2011 5:58 PM So easy to learn to use a computer (this was 1987). I was already a senior citizen when it came out and my grandchildren think I'm cool.
Oct 13, 2011 5:47 PM I think that introducing the GUI via the Mac was the #1 thing Apple brought to computing. But the iPhone is awfully close, as it's introducing the next generation model of computing!
Oct 13, 2011 5:41 PM The first Apple product to touch my life and to change my way of working and my way of researching. It became my primary source of education, entertainment and way of staying in touch.
Oct 13, 2011 5:34 PM Really great retail experience.

Oct 13, 2011 5:18 PM see Q1
Oct 13, 2011 4:58 PM Timing related to what I needed at that point in my life.
Oct 13, 2011 4:49 PM As noted earlier ... a whole different way to do business ... drawing boards and pasteups, to digital files ... designers become typesetters (not always a good thing) and layouts can be created, updated, fiddled with almost instantly.
Oct 13, 2011 4:27 PM My affinity for Apple, its superior platform and products began with a Macintosh computer.
Oct 13, 2011 4:26 PM Had to take my business to a computer and Apple did it the simplest way
Oct 13, 2011 4:25 PM Use it daily
Oct 13, 2011 4:24 PM because it was the first big step and impact in bringing computing to reality.
Oct 13, 2011 4:21 PM It was an early innovation that led to so many other Apple and non-Apple products. It was a catalyst and a foundation for design and tech as fashion, especially user friendly design. That put them in the hearts and hands of the consumer and every day life.

Oct 13, 2011 4:13 PM Seeing the ups and downs of the line along with the evolution, the macintosh is the winged keel to a sleek line.

Oct 13, 2011 3:54 PM It was by far the biggest leap, followed closely by the iPhone.

Oct 13, 2011 3:44 PM Tough to choose between the Macintosh, which started it all, and the iPhone, which has truly changed my life.

Oct 13, 2011 3:31 PM use it every day. makes me want an iphone. Love touching the screen. Love touching the screen. I thought it was the stupiest new toy ever until I won one. Would give up all other devices for ipad
Oct 13, 2011 3:29 PM 1984 The best advertising ever
Oct 13, 2011 3:22 PM Once I upgraded from the IIe, my entire upbringing, college and Profession all depend on my daily use of Macs.
Oct 13, 2011 3:18 PM First computer used.
Oct 13, 2011 3:15 PM Seems like a case of the emperor's new clothes. I find the product design cold and unappealing and the inability to customize very frustrating. (I'm accustomed to getting under the hood of my computers--I've replaced motherboards, upgraded memory, etc.)
Oct 13, 2011 3:11 PM So much easier to use than a PC. And it just looks better.
Oct 13, 2011 3:09 PM It kick stated the industry that has paid me well for the last thirty years.
